"Serif Bitcoin Symbol" No. 1 in Limestone with 24k Gold Leaf

Five years ago I began carving stone, immersing myself in traditional, low time preference techniques including the art of lettering in stone using hammer and chisel. This piece comes from my own collection, and it was the very first letter I ever carved in stone. It is a serifed version of the Bitcoin symbol of my own design, hand chiseled and adorned with 24k gold leaf.

This carving is an example of traditional “v-cut” lettering, as seen on monuments and public buildings, the world over. “V-cut” letters are renowned for their longevity, remaining legible hundreds if not thousands of years later, and for their beauty in differing light conditions.
