"Reborn" is inspired by my Bitcoin journey and the many other people whose lives Bitcoin has changed for the better. I carved the hand in the “Gyan Mudra” or the “Mudra of Wisdom or Knowledge,” with an Opendime grasped between thumb and index finger alluding to the never ending pursuit of Bitcoin knowledge. The hand emerges from rough, choppy water, and I set the hand against an archway, through which, the copper leaf hints at the bright orange future made possible by Bitcoin.

I sculpted this marble hand using traditional, low time preference techniques and I hope it ends up with a collector who values and understands the labor and time a piece like this takes to craft. Part of the reason I love working in stone is that I am able to create generational artwork that will last for years to come.
